It was in the summer of 1958 in Oak Harbor, Washington, when the Holy Spirit came upon a young and rebellious boy of 11 and lovingly drew him into an intimate and personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus. Raised in a Christian home, instructed in a Bible believing Church, and surrounded by Christian friends he was shaped, molded and prepared for service.
In the month of April, 1988 Paul Henry was called by the Lord to serve as a preacher of the Gospel. He had served the Lord at Eastmont Baptist Church, in Wenatchee, Washington, for 6 years as a Bible teacher to young adults and in 1986 was selected and ordained a deacon of the church.
It was in the month of May, 1988 he was called to serve as Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Leavenworth, and was ordained a “minister of the gospel” about two years later, August 12, 1990. He worked as a Bi-vocational minister, working both as a pastor and a customer engineer for a major corporation, until February 2005 when he retired from the secular job.
Pastor Henry served in the Coulee Baptist Association for over 20 years and currently serves as the Coulee Association Disaster Relief Team Leader. Paul was married to Linda in 1964. They have 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren, all living in Spring, Texas.
